WhatsApp guidelines for Vallalar Tamil School

WhatsApp is a simple and easy medium of communication. It helps in conveying our messages quickly.

We at Vallalar Tamil School use WhatsApp for various purposes. We have several WhatsApp groups within our School.  So, it is important for School management to control the flow of information in these WhatsApp groups.

Vallalar Tamil School Inc Board does not allow anyone to solicit, advertise or use Vallalar Tamil School Inc digital forums such as WhatsApp, Facebook, email for non-school flyers, or sell tickets for any non-school related functions within the premises of  Vallalar Tamil School. The Board and/or the school Principal must approve any advertisements or flyers before they get shared on Vallalar Tamil School digital forums such as WhatsApp, Facebook or email.

A general rule for WhatsApp, Emails and other digital forums:

  • No Flyers
  • No Forwards
  • No WhatsApp Group invites
  • No Fundraising
  • No religious/political discussions or comments
  • Vallalar Tamil School digital forums can’t be used as a medium to enroll participants for outside activities irrespective of whether it is for profit or non-profit.

English Public Speaking Course

Public speaking is a highly sought after soft skill. Public speaking skill helps in building confidence and Leadership qualities in students. We are going to start the "English Public Speaking Course" at our Tamil School for students studying in Elementary grades (Ages 7 to 12) to enable them become confident in English Language and Public Speaking. This will be a free course for Vallalar Tamil School Students. The classes will be after the Tamil Classes, between 12:30 to 1:30PM. There will be 10-12 classes between March and June 2020. At the end of the course, students will participate in an "English Public Speaking competition" to showcase their skills. "Open Book" Monthly Tests

Due to Coronavirus, the school is functioning virtually. So, all students are expected to complete open book exams for the remaining three tests (Test 6, 7 and final exam). Parents should download the question paper from this link  http://njvallalarpalli.org/monthlytest6 , take a print out and give the test to the Students.  If you don't have a printer at home, please have your child answer the questions in a plain white paper. Please scan the answer sheets and send them back to the teachers for grading. We would like to follow some guidelines to make the testing process as fair and as beneficial as possible for everyone. While students are allowed to use any class materials when taking the test, they are expected to take the test by themselves without help from anyone. The oral part of the exam is to be uploaded as an audio file. Parents can help with giving the dictation words (and also with the oral questions as needed).
